In het koude seizoen komen langlaufers en rodelaars ook aan hun trekken in het dorp met 1.800 inwoners, dat bij de gemeente Bruneck hoort. Terwijl voor sommigen een loipe is geprepareerd, suizen anderen over de populaire rodelbanen die starten aan het dalstation van de Kronplatz en in het naburige Santo Stefano.

Wanneer de zon uit de hemel schijnt en de temperaturen aangenaam warm zijn, nodigt de omgeving van Riscone uit tot wandelingen. Niet voor niets is de Dolomietenregio Kronplatz in de zomer een paradijs voor berg- en natuurliefhebbers. Wil je het rustig aan doen, dan raden we je de panoramaweg of de wandeling naar de Kappler Stöckl aan.

De meer veeleisende sportievelingen kunnen te voet of met de mountainbike de top van de Kronplatz bedwingen of een van de omliggende bergen trotseren. Niet te versmaden is de actievolle afdaling, die zich van de Kronplatz naar het dal slingert via steile haarspeldbochten en hobbelige, smalle paden.

Het sportcentrum Reiperting is ook een vermelding waard. Het omvat verschillende tennisbanen, atletiek- en voetbalvelden, een manege en een klein dierenpark, evenals een 9-holes golfbaan en golfclub.

Als je even wilt pauzeren tussen alle activiteiten door en liever kijkt hoe anderen sporten, dan is de beste tijd om Riscone te bezoeken wanneer het weer tijd is voor sterrenvoetbal! De afgelopen jaren hebben teams uit de Italiaanse eredivisie hier regelmatig hun trainingstenten opgeslagen.
