The most famous and at the same tame last race before the winter break on the horse racecourse of Meran is a must for all horse lovers, equitation fans and all those who like to bet. The highly endowed race goes along a 5,000 m long obstacle course. It takes place already since 1935 and attracts every year horse lovers from all over Europe.
The particularity of the Grand Prix of Meran Forst is not only the international star array as regards steed and rider, but also the respectable prize money and the area of the race: The route ranks among the most difficult throughout Europe and the stands are built in a special way, so that everybody enjoys an unrestricted view to the course.
