Advent in Glurns

In South Tyrol’s smallest town, romantics will be totally satisfied, because in the second week in December there takes place the traditional Christmas fair "Advent in Glurns". 

In contrast to many other Christmas markets, it last not several weeks, but it is limited to the long weekend around 8 December. Nevertheless – or just therefore – it is considered to be full of atmosphere and every year it attracts visitors from all over the region. 

Young and old Christmas fans can stroll through the town centre, take a look at the colourful stands, hear well-known Christmas songs and enjoy the smell of sweet biscuits, gingerbread and mulled wine coming from the gastronomic stalls.

But this is not all. All around the Advent in Glurns in Vinschgau there is offered a varied supporting programme, including for instance beautiful Advent concerts of local and neighbouring choirs and wind sections and the traditional theatre performance of the children's theatre group of Glurns.
