Hotel Sonnenhof*** is a family-run accommodation in Kastelruth in the holiday region Seiser Alm. It is situated in a sunny and peaceful position, but at the same time only five minutes on foot from the town centre. In the environs and in the mountain scenery of the Dolomites there are waiting also countless outdoor activities – in summer as well as in winter.

Cosy rooms & suites with balcony

The tastefully and generously furnished rooms and suites all have a balcony, safe, satellite TV, minibar and WiFi as well as a bathroom with shower or bathtub, WC, bidet and hairdryer. They are all equipped with lots of wood and warm colours: The combination of Alpine cosiness and modern comfort ensures a comfortable feel-good ambience.

Delightful & relaxing time

We spoil our guests with a rich breakfast buffet and a 4-course evening menu with salad buffet: you can enjoy local specialities combined with Italian culinary delights. The wellness area at Hotel Sonnenhof offers an indoor pool and whirlpool as well as saunas, relaxation rooms and a tea corner and is perfect for relaxing and recharging your batteries.

A beautiful morning view, a perfect dinner, and a sauna. Most importantly, the service was attentive! The waiter, knowing we didn't speak Italian or German, thoughtfully hand-wrote the English menu. Love you guys!

Small, family-run, clean, and relaxed hotel. Decorated in a country-style. The new sauna area, relaxation rooms, and pool are very clean and well-maintained! The old sauna area seemed in need of some renovation, but it wasn't in use. Parking and garage spaces are available.

A very pleasant experience. Located just steps from the center (very close to the bus station), ample parking (front and back), spacious, clean rooms with a memorable view of the Sassopiatto. Various breakfast and dinner featuring a wealth of South Tyrolean dishes.

Excellent property, very close to the town center. Very large and clean room, good, varied and plentiful breakfast. Beautiful and well-maintained spa. Friendly and helpful staff. A surefire place to stay for a vacation in Castelrotto

A very nice hotel. Super friendly service. The food, a 5-course dinner, was excellent. The spa area is also highly recommended. All in all, a relaxing week spent here. Approximately 6 km to the Seiser Alm.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel from October 10 to October 17, 2024. The Rier family and the entire staff were very friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable from the very beginning. The room was fantastic with a fantastic view of the mountains. The plentiful and delicious breakfast and the delicious evening menu left nothing to be desired. Our stay was perfect all around, from the beautiful room to the excellent food (especially the breakfast left nothing to be desired), and rounded off by the extremely friendly and attentive staff. We can only warmly recommend this hotel.
